I have regularly blown dust out of my projector, the Optoma HD200x and i have changed the color wheel once after it exploded. The bulb that is currently in my projector has 5440 hours and is still going, should i expect it to go soon? Asked by Marius P. On Dec 29, 2023
It seems you have gone over the estimated hours of life for your bulb, which is 3,000 hours or 4,000 hours. You should replace your lamp immediately. Don't keep your old lamp as a backup as it might explode.

The projector lamps we sell are UHP (ultra high pressure) projector lamps, that are a proprietary patented design developed by Philips company. These are not low quality LED lights.

I hardly used my Optoma HD20 projector for under six months until the bulb blew out. I want to buy this bulb now and want to know if it would last long. What are the number of hours I can expect on this bulb? Asked by K S P. On Sep 03, 2017
We are not sure what lamp you had in your projector previously that lasted such a short time. If you purchase from MyProjectorLamps, you will be getting an OEM bulb in housing so it will be the identical bulb that was in your projector originally with our housing. The only way to guarantee the longevity of your lamp is to purchase original bulbs and do routine maintenance. If you have any other questions feel free to ask or give us a call.

Yes, this lamp would fit in the Optoma HD200X-LV, since they have the same alternative lamp ID or lamp model: BL-FP230D.
